Carl Aspler

Carl Aspler has worked as an organization change specialist for over twenty-five years. He has worked as a manager, trainer, manager of executive development, and most recently, as manager, organization effectiveness for GE Canada.

While at General Electric, Carl played a key role in the culture change process. He was a major player in helping develop and implement the GE Work-Out concept - a successful empowerment and productivity improvement process. He was also instrumental in helping train the GE “CAP” Model, an important set of tools used in enhancing buy-in to change. Carl has facilitated hundreds of meetings, Work-Outs, strategy sessions and teambuilding events in both the public and private sector.

Since 1995 Carl has managed Carl Aspler & Associates Inc., a firm specializing in organization change, facilitation, teambuilding and training. His clients have included the provincial and federal governments, Maple Leaf Foods, Falconbridge, Bombardier, Tridel, FAG Bearings, Nike Canada, Desjardins Financial, Suncorp-Metway, Falconbridge, Sears-Roebuck, Royal Bank Financial and the various businesses of General Electric.

From 1997 until 2002 Carl was actively involved as a faculty member of GE Capital’s Center for Learning teaching change management  as part of  GE’s drive towards Six Sigma quality. He has also been part-time faculty at University of Toronto’s Diploma Program in Adult Education as well as the Ivey School of Business. He has also been a consultant with Queen’s University’s Centre for Enterprise Development. Carl is also a certified consultant in Myers-Briggs.

Carl has a B.Sc. from McGill University and an M.Ed. from the University of Toronto.

Martha Dove

martha dove-93-final-3x3For more than 25 years, Martha has worked as a counselor, trainer and facilitator specializing in conflict management, performance improvement and career development.  With a Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW), Martha's background spans public affairs, organization change and leadership development.  

Working with  PDA Inc., a public affairs firm based in Toronto, Martha developed expertise in stakeholder analysis and issues management.  As the facilitator of numerous focus groups, advisory committees and community forums Martha played a key role in helping corporate clients -- in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications and insurance sectors -- successfully manage change. Since 1989, when she set up Martha Dove & Associates Inc., Martha has continued working as a facilitator and a trainer for  a variety of government, industry and business clients.  Over the years, she has taught numerous facilitation skills workshops and managed team-building sessions.   

More recently, Martha has expanded her business to include workplace coaching, executive development and career counseling with corporate clients -- including the Richard Ivey School of Business and the BMO Financial Group   As a qualified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator  (MBTI)TM consultant, Martha  uses her counseling experience and coaching expertise to help  private clients -- professionals, executives and entrepreneurs  -- better understand how to manage personality differences constructively in the workplace.

Chris Hutcheson

Chris has over 24 years of experience in the field of adult education and facilitation. His front-line and management experience in financial and other business sectors has helped him link the development of organizations' human resources to their operational performance.

Chris has designed and facilitated programs to facilitate employee alignment with corporate culture,team building, performance management, leadership, interpersonal communication, motivation, creative problem solving, presentation skills, and trainer and facilitator training. He worked with General Electric's work-out facilitation team, and has used similar processes to facilitate team problem-solving for a variety of private, public and not for profit sector clients. He has designed and facilitated interpretation of 360° feedback assessments here and in the United Kingdom.

He is the author of the Learning Style Questionnaire, published by HRD Press. He is qualified to administer and facilitate interpretation of the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator™, a self assessment instrument that has application in training, team-building, and organizational development. Chirs is also certified to administer and facilitate interpretation and application of OneSmartWorld's human resource development solutions.

Participants in his workshops say that Chris creates a positive learning climate through his relaxed manner, humour, and ability to help them relate course content to the their professional and individual concerns in a practical "hands-on" way.
