A central component to our practice is facilitating meetings. We tailor our facilitation services according to client needs. These can range from a one-off session to help a group prioritize a list of projects, to a series of meetings designed to help a team develop a strategy or plan. We also conduct team "upgrading" sessions, where a team comes together to discuss how it can make improvements in responding to the needs of their members and other key stakeholders.
As facilitators our primary focus is to design and manage a discussion process where the participants are the experts. Our job is to create a meeting design and then subsequently manage the discussions in ways that create energy, focus and results.
Some examples of what we have done:
- Facilitated a "New manager Assimilation" session between a new manager and his direct reports in order to quickly surface awareness on key issues and needs.
- Created and facilitated a cross functional team to develop a new product improvement process for an international manufacturing company.
- Created and facilitated a "Town hall" meeting that involved a wide range of practitioners - police, fire, medical, mental health in developing national standards for how to respond to post-traumatic stress.
- Facilitated a series of retreats for the executives and senior managers of two merged hospitals to identify accountabilities and clarify roles.
- Planned and facilitated a joint session between two departments on how to cooperate better on the implementation of Six Sigma quality.
- Designed and facilitated a process that helped prioritize information technology projects across three government ministries.
- Facilitated a series of meetings designed to help a hospital radiology department become more efficient.
- Designed and facilitated a session on how a bank could streamline its personal loans process and reduce the percentage of loan refusals.
- Facilitated a Work-Out session for a large aerospace company on how to improve its housekeeping in a large manufacturing plant.
- Facilitated a management team in the development of a roll-out strategy for a major organizational change.
- Facilitated a senior management team through a series of meetings that helped them develop a communication plan for a major acquisition.
