Since 1996, we have been involved in the roll out and support for Six Sigma quality efforts. Our focus has been primarily on the change management side, providing tools and skills for personnel involved in the change efforts. This has included intensive training for Black Belts, Master Black Belts, Green Belts and Project Champions.
This has often involved the building of specific content into the formal training program for these individuals. Some of the specific training modules that have been used include change management tools (how to work with stakeholders and build support for change), facilitation skills, project management (how to properly define problems, scope projects and negotiate resources), Myers-Briggs, Work-Out, coaching and feedback skills, consulting skills, creative thinking, and managing conflict.
Organizations where we have been active providing such support have included GE, Noranda, Bombardier, Maple Leaf Foods and Sears. In addition to providing specific skill building, we are able to assist management teams on how to plan the roll-out of these change initiatives, and through our associates, also provide training and support on the technical side of Six Sigma. We also provide one-on-one coaching to Black belts and others .
